Confidentiality Policy

When you are talking to your lawyer about this case, including all class counsel and their employees, your conversations and email (all verbal and written communications) are confidential and protected by “attorney-client privilege.” Your lawyer cannot communicate this information to anyone else (other than an employee or co-counsel on the case) without your permission.  You should also keep these communications confidential.

The claims administrators at Garden City can provide valuable information to you about procedures, forms, deadlines and the like, and they must abide by the orders of the court to maintain your identity and claim form information in confidence. However, they do not represent you and are not co-counsel for class members in the TV Writers’ case. Accordingly, your telephone and written communications with them are not subject to the attorney-client privilege.
